Resp Respiratory

How would the air in hospital room be treated with a patient that has a highly infectious resp. infection?
If a patient has a highly inectious respiratory infection how would the air in the room be treated to prevent movement of microbes into and throughout the ventilation system?
First they would either determine if the infection is viral or bacterial. then if its found viral they will do one of two things.
1. place patient in an isolated room .
2. place patient in a special tent.
If the infection is found to be bacterial, they will
Place a special mask on the patient and administer antibiotics, place patient in an isolated room and observe for a couple of days and then discharge patient.
